Imagine if a field gun can do that, what can a stationary artilery canon do ;) . here in cyprus during training they placed one of them between some trees and a tree was actually cut from the recoil. (the tree trunk was about 2 m diameter btw)

That was the Guns "RECOIL", NO...
If it had been a 'Recoilless Rifle' instead of a Howitzer the gun would have produced an actual 'Back Blast', but this is Not a recoiless rifle, and it was the 'RECOIL' that knocked the man down, and probably injured him.
