This is part 6 of 12 videos of the 2007 Geneva fireworks, taken from the rooftop of my apartment building which is a couple of kilometers or so away from the event. The display is fired from large barges anchored in the Geneva bay, which is quite a technical feat as the current (the Rhone river) is very strong and can vary, especially after heavy rainfalls in the area. The flow of the current is therefore regulated through the manipulation of sluices where the lake becomes the Rhone, so as to maintain a regular and stable flow and water level in the lake.
