  you ever learn that fruits and vegetables aren't the color your used to seeing all there life. quite the contrary. they say the color your used too for a couple weeks of there lives. those were lemons just not RIPE. tomatoes are green for half a year and a red for about 3 weeks.

  the sugar your used to is BLEACHED. real unprocessed sugar is brown. its also better for you and taste better than refined sugar. though it is a tad more expensive.
