In the beginning of 1944 the Allies began a battle to capture Rome. It raged for five months and was one of the bloodiest of the Second World War as thousands were sacrificed to take just one small town and the mountain that towered over it so that the road to Rome could be opened. It became known as the Battle of Monte Cassino and now Capital j. Films will tell its
story.
