This is the latest incarnation of the HDF video. The narration has been edited to include research from a paper in Physical Review Letters (2004) which puts the size of the universe at 46.5 billion light years, not 78 billion as originally stated.
The universe is bigger than 46.5 billion light years. It's infinite. I know that's hard for our finite minds to comprehend, but it's true. Think about it... What's beyond that 46.5 b.l.y.? Nothing? Even nothing is something in this context.
By R2J 1187932762wake yourself up b4 watching videos ... have a coffee .. two sugars for me thanks !
By twattyhead 1213785000It goes like this"If the universe is infinite and you pick any point in the sky and look along it.Somewhere out there, sitting along that line there will be a star looking back at you,in an infinite universe this must happen or its not infinite. The sky would be lit 24/7 by the light of an infinite number of stars and there would be no nighttime" physics101 LOGIC RULES
By DV8TED 118856011446.5 b.l.y. is the diameter of the _visible_ universe. Hubble showed that space expands, that is, every point in space between us and a starr expands. Thus, there are stars, so far away that they move away from us with speed faster than light. We will never (who knows) be able to see past that boundary. But it doesn't mean that there is nothing after it. Most likely the picture will be similar.
By Chrissssss 1187939447LOL. GOD??? Forget the Universe,Galazy,Deep Field, Gazillions of Stars with Even More Gazillion Of Planets, Earth Itself Has Hundreds of "Gods." Religion Biggest joke Ever U Spawned From Simple One-celled organism, S**t Happens, Dont Be a Panzy
By KelvinoUSA420 1188462014In science everything comes from something or something causing it. There is source of everything. Natures just part it consequence. That why scientist explore space 1st before explore in deep ocean.
By ShithartaGautamma 1189728098have u ever stopped to think that in the other galaxies there are humans like us wondering if theres life on other galaxies just like us?
By freshmeat826 1201311227yeah these are all very good arguements but i mean 47 billoin light years to reach the end of space i think its infinit too becouse it woudent be lit up 24/7 light cant reach that far must be really strong light or it would be a barely dim glow we wouldent even notice it
By bam bam14 1192054147this emghaizes how small we are.
THE GOD IS THE GREATEST

By Compelled 1188009071Don't you think there would be aliens in our galaxy?
By ace121391 1187995247remember, with so many stars coming and going that means many galaxys with possible life forms. we may be considered a new life form, cause we were not here first, and we wont be last. that makes us aliens... to all those who think GOD created only earth to have life and want to be close minded. what do you think of this video? this comment is not meant to be harmful, but lets be a bit more open minded. if you can absorb this, do you really think that there is a god?
By gilbot3030 1188009553But dont look at it like aliens. What if there are other humans? people that went threw evalution, just like us.
By Silent Civilian 1188008595well thats a cool video and call crazy but i think every one will get lost in space afther death.how hard its going to be to find your true family again.
By greenarts 1187941856but curious if we can see that far out why dont we point it at the closest star and take a look at planets close up? just talking outa my a$$ here
By Pryde 1187937422our life is too short, too busy fighting for survival. Therefore, things that does not pertain to our survival go unnoticed
By 4U2nite 1187934073"Astronomers approve new guidelines under which distant Pluto is no longer defined as a planet" --google it
By Compelled 1187928482If I start at the centre of the known universe and I can travel at the speed of light (186,282 miles per second) it will take me 47 billion years to reach the edge of that space.
Those numbers are enough for me to chew on!
