This is the latest incarnation of the HDF video. The narration has been edited to include research from a paper in Physical Review Letters (2004) which puts the size of the universe at 46.5 billion light years, not 78 billion as originally stated.
Great and clip. Thank you for posting.

By jmann 1188012915 Reply Spam [+2] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThe universe is bigger than 46.5 billion light years. It's infinite. I know that's hard for our finite minds to comprehend, but it's true. Think about it... What's beyond that 46.5 b.l.y.? Nothing? Even nothing is something in this context.
By R2J 1187932762 Reply Spam [+2] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removewake yourself up b4 watching videos ... have a coffee .. two sugars for me thanks !
By twattyhead 1213785000 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIt goes like this"If the universe is infinite and you pick any point in the sky and look along it.Somewhere out there, sitting along that line there will be a star looking back at you,in an infinite universe this must happen or its not infinite. The sky would be lit 24/7 by the light of an infinite number of stars and there would be no nighttime" physics101 LOGIC RULES
By DV8TED 1188560114 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Remove46.5 b.l.y. is the diameter of the _visible_ universe. Hubble showed that space expands, that is, every point in space between us and a starr expands. Thus, there are stars, so far away that they move away from us with speed faster than light. We will never (who knows) be able to see past that boundary. But it doesn't mean that there is nothing after it. Most likely the picture will be similar.

By osirisIV 1237142204 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removehave u ever stopped to think that in the other galaxies there are humans like us wondering if theres life on other galaxies just like us?
By freshmeat826 1201311227 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeyeah these are all very good arguements but i mean 47 billoin light years to reach the end of space i think its infinit too becouse it woudent be lit up 24/7 light cant reach that far must be really strong light or it would be a barely dim glow we wouldent even notice it

By ace121391 1187995247 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeremember, with so many stars coming and going that means many galaxys with possible life forms. we may be considered a new life form, cause we were not here first, and we wont be last. that makes us aliens... to all those who think GOD created only earth to have life and want to be close minded. what do you think of this video? this comment is not meant to be harmful, but lets be a bit more open minded. if you can absorb this, do you really think that there is a god?
By gilbot3030 1188009553 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI believe in God.

By zzoro 1188135001 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIf I start at the centre of the known universe and I can travel at the speed of light (186,282 miles per second) it will take me 47 billion years to reach the edge of that space.
Those numbers are enough for me to chew on!
