American Bartenders School shows you to make the Zombiecocktail drink recipe.
A great cocktail drink for parties or entertaining friends.
Definitely NOT a Zombie! Original recipe calls for light, dark and over-proof rum, triplesec, Yukon Jack (or Drambuie), brandy (or apricot brandy)... OJ, sours and lime juice. NO AMARETTO, NO CREME DE NOYAUX. NO PINEAPPLE JUICE.
In fact, the recipe this guy uses is closer to 1980s version of the Mai-Tai than to a Zombie. Look up "original Trader Vic's Zombie" to get the real recipe.
It's sad that so many "bartenders" throw a bunch of crap into a glass and call it a Zombie. Yes, there are some conflicting recipes out there for the drink, but this thing doesn't resemble a proper Zombie at all. In fact, it's damn weak -- a real Zombie calls for between 3 1/2 to 4 oz of rum, and three different kinds of rum at that.
