I am always astonished on how religion can be blamed for the evils of mans own selfishness. There is much evidence to suggest a conspiracy and a cover-up. BE SURE TO LOOK IN THE RIGHT PLACES THOUGH, as there is a lot of bs out there. But there is no way to convince most people who have already been conditioned to believe the media. Right about here people will think I as well, am "a few ants short of a picnic" or a total nut. BUT, if you go to Europe, (or anywhere else in the world for that matter) you will discover that many if not most Europeans believe that the Bush administration was involved somehow, or at least had prior knowledge of the attacks. Call me what you will, I don't believe the government's explanation of 9-11.
I will leave you with a couple things to consider:
In every commercial airliner, there is what's called a "hijack button". It is also a law that the pilots need to keep the cockpit door locked at all times during flight, except if they chose to recieve a meal. If the hijack button is pushed, ground control is alerted immediately and usually fighter aircraft is dispersed. So... we are supposed to believe that these terrorists armed with BOX CUTTERS got through the locked doors and screaming and possibly fighting passengers, killed all 8 pilots on all 4 planes instantly, before any one of them had time to push this button? Maybe! I don't know for sure.
Also, FAA regulations state that if a plane flies a certain distance off-course, fighter aircraft is to be sent to intercept the plane. None of this happened, even though the planes were all hundreds of miles off-course and hadn't been responding to ground control for over an hour.
I admit, this could all be a coincidence, but still, I would tell anyone who cares about this great country to do some research. This is only some weak evidence. The more confirming and startling evidence, would instantly be shrugged off by 99% of Americans.
And before you call me a communist, terrorist, or whatever, I'll have you know that I served my country for 2 years in the Air Force.

We might not do everything right all the time, but the solution is always found in diplomacy. Pure military force only prosper a lot of cold bodies and puts the goal of "peace" further away.

Also, if you'd actually done some research on the topic, you'd know that Saddam hated all Islamic fundamentalist groups in his country because they were a threat to his totalitarian state. He beheaded leaders of several groups that formed in his country.
Along with this, under Saddam, there was border enforcement which has ceased to exist since we invaded in 2003. More terrorists are in Iraq now than there ever were under Saddam's rule. Ask any expert other than one of the Bush Cabinet's cronies and they will agree.
Finally, Salman Pak* (notice the correct spelling) was only labled a terrorist training camp by 2 ex-Iraqi army defectors. One being an annonymous Lt. General, and the other being Captain Sabah Khodada. These are the only two sources of this unconfirmed claim. Keep in mind these two men left Iraq after they and their families were threatened by Saddam for conspiring against him. There is much doubt and speculation to their claim considering that they both had proverbial "beef" with Saddam and would probably say anything to see his punk ass burn.
Keep in mind that I am happy to see scum like Saddam behind bars, but we went about doing it completely wrong in my humble opinion.

All the evidence in support of going into Iraq came from recent CIA "documents" and a SINGLE, solitary university professor who said that it would be possible for Iraq to build WMD. COLIN POWELL has come forward and siad that he was ashamed of presenting those falsified documents to the UN and world public. Maybe some loose ties to Iraq WMD production was mentioned in 98, but I haven't heard any of that.

DiscoDave: The reason we went into Iraq was that Saddam refused to show us where the WMD's that the U.N. Inspectors found before they were run out in 95'. Thousands of pounds of Anthrax, and Tons of Serin gas... at the very least he was supposed to show us where he destroyed these weapons, and he refused to do that... when he continued to play games with the U.N. we stomped his A$$. Only about 1% of recruits can sign up for 2 years. I however signed up for 6 and was released because of a heart murmur.

Its a lie that the recruiters tell you.... everyone I know who signed up for 2 years always served 4... just as well they decided to stay in for a career anyhow.
