Families mourn 465 identified remains of Srebrenica massacre.

On the 12th anniversary of Europe's worst genocide since World War Two, 30,000 people gather in Potocari, Bosnia to mourn Muslim civilians murdered by Serb forces.

On July 11, 1995 Serb troops led by General Radko Mladic brutally overran the town of Srebrenica, Bosnia. The Muslim enclave had been under United Nations protection. But about 450 Dutch troops stood by helplessly as the Serbs rounded up the town's men and boys. In a few days, about 8000 were executed, their bodies shovelled into unmarked graves. Forensic scientists using DNA evidence have since identified more than 2000 remains. Today another 465 coffins, draped in Muslim green, were laid to rest in a memorial service near the massacre site.
