    ... some posts about how this martial art is "good" and the other is not? if you practice any kind of martial art and think that way... im really sorry for you and your teacher or master or whatever he calls himself... anyway i saw this video and remembered how happy i was when tkd was my life from 11 to 19 yrs old before all the working and studying... just awesome what we can do, right? almost unbelievable... great video.

      you should all look up chuhnkuhndo, the complete wellness art. If you know anything about taekwondo you will know about the ledgend, Grandmaster Kim Bok Man. This is a martial art that GM Kim founded, and is a more advanced form of TKD, introducing alot of weaponry, more complicated patterns, and harder techniques. The person who organises and helps spread this martial art in Great Britain, is Kwan Jangnim Mark Iles, who I am lucky enough to be instucted by.
      Seriously, this martial art, although rare, is worth looking up, I study it allongside WTF Taekwondo, and Korean kickboxing.

    I am on Taekwondo ITF this aint bad but... u can see they train for this kinda things. If u wanna see real fights try the Olympics 2012 than will be Taekwondo ITF a real olympic sport 2008 a demo sport but i like this movie and the music

    im your run of the mill street fighter and i easily took on three TKD. I pissed off their master and he challenged me he did his fancy flyin and somehow nailed me. trust me on this i have been hit a hellava lot harder by a punch! Anyways he was a chump that i easily beat... man you guys really S**k to be beaten by a street fighter.

      Your story reeks of cheese. A TKD master NEVER challenges someone to a fight. And if he did fight you, a flying kick would knock you right out, or put you in the hospital. You'd be getting hit by the weight of the master (100+ minimum), multiplied by the speed he was moving at.
      Face it, you've never been in a fight your entire life, fatty.

      I took TKD for two years and compared to two years of practicing MMA, i learned more techniques for certain situations and am able to outthink my opponents from different perspectives during a match with the two years of MMA training. You're only good at TKD and capable of taking out your opponent if you were to land a lucky shot or if your opponent would just stand there. Not only that but the recovery time it takes after throwing a kick leaves the TKD guy vulnerable. I learned from my past and have not let myself be convinced that one form of Martial art supercedes the other. Don't let the bias of TKD practitioners who put up this crap ruin your capacity to be open for other arts.

      Punching and kicking with that much power by whom? If you were surprised to see that much force, why as a "TKD master" are you so overjoyed? When you yourself as a "master" would know this for yourself. Your reply says it all, TKD is bogus and propaganda like this is only out to promote this "art" for cash generating purposes instead of really defending oneself against dangerous life and death situations.       You practiced for two years and didn't learn anything because you either just can't fight or you instructor sucked. True Tae Kwon Do is not all kicking, and I don't know who you have seen or sparred in Taekwondo but recovery time is not an issue if your fast. Your all talk.

Do you really believe that you can read in the dark with a candle when you can easily update your way of life by using a lightbulb? This is what mixed martial arts is all about. What takes you years to learn in useless forms and belt promotions takes less time in learning a more practical way to defend yourself.       what takes you years to learn by wasting your time on Tae Kwon Do forms and belt promotions takes only a couple of years with Mixed Martial Arts. It may have had its benefits and is very marketable because of it's flashy kicks, but it isn't practical. Any kickboxer can beat your ass anytime! Kickboxing may not be flashy, but what it lacks in flashy kicks, it makes up for in practicality. kickboxing utilizes all parts of the body; elbows, knees, head. Jiu jitsu stops your opponent without crippling them if you wish and Ai ki do applies the pressure points and joint locks to stop an opponent. When combined, these 3 types take less time to learn and apply than if you were trying to learn a flashy kick...believe it!

      Its hard to believe that any of you study martial arts the way yall are bashing each other. If any of you knew one thing it would be that any one martial art has its weaknesses on its own. Any form of martial art you do there will be pros and cons. It doesnt mean that one form is better than another. If you really would like to think yourself "invensible" than i would suggest learning more than one form of martial arts otherwise your really just making yourself look ignorant instead of making yourself look "tuff".
