Pretty cool, but I know how.
Sorry, hershymagic, that I am revealing it, but: There is no ball. When he performs he is just waving his hands in the air. The ball is an image put on and animated by video editing software. Of course, if I am wrong, then I am amazed.

I'm pretty sure I'm not wrong.
