  • Nice Work

Hi, Darlene. Nice work as per usual. Just curious...where are these episodes filmed for the most part...Los Angeles? Also, are they filmed in one big chunk and then edited & clipped, to give them an episodic feel? Thirdly, I noticed that the production values are very good for an internet series, what is the budget per episode? Lastly, what kind of cameras are being used; it doesn't look like digital, which would be the cheapest? Any info on these questions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    • Oops...

I just went to the HOTB website and it answered most of my questions, including cost ($500,000), time to make (18 days), shot with real actors and film equipment (hence, the nice look of the film, as opposed to digital video). Also, since you are based in LA, I assume it was shot around there, too. Anyway, thanks for putting it on the net (legitimately, LOL), and letting more people see it than would, had it been shown just at the film festivals you mentioned on the site. Any future net movies we can look forward to?

    • Thanks

With the exception of some establishing shots and the open credits aerial footage, the rest of the movie was shot in and around Los Angeles using the Digital Panasonic HD Varicam.

Our next film festival screening is on Sept. 25 at the Universal City Walk AMC theaters as part of the Cinema City International Film Festival. For more info on the CCIFF, go to CCIFF.com. All my best - Darlene
