    Not sure what happened but the injury occured during freefall. he was falling limp and his AAD automatically deployed his reserve but he obviously was already paralyzed cause he kept looking up at the chute but never reached up with his hands to grab the steering lines.

    Not that I know anything about skydiving, but my guess is that when he deployed his chute, the skydiver's line's got caught up in the rigging for his helmet and snapped his neck.
