because it utilized a bent barrel making the accuracy of the gun unpredictable and the wear on the barrel was tremendous.

This gun makes it easy for oneself to shoot a bullet up his own ass.

Nice to see some one who knows what Ak is about. not alot of people out there. Hard headed dumb asses that say our M16 is better.

This gun is designed for SWAT not for war.

AK is your choice if you plan to drag it through mud and use it for a shovel, but on close distance it's clumsy and the 7.62 caliber rifle round has a lower projectile velocity than lower caliber rifle rounds thus it goes clean through muscle and other tissue from close range where as lower caliber and pistol rounds leave a larger exit hole.

And if you put your AK on automatic it's very difficult to aim though the bullets penetrate wood, snow, body armor and other materials that might be on the way.

Thank you for that lecture on the AK-47, but I do know the difference between an assault rifle and a close quarter submachine gun. The point I was merely saying was there the rifle was a clumsy design which could be prone to stoppages. Besides it’s not a very good tactical point to go and make a large clicking noise putting the font part back just before engaging!!!

When you are ready to fight the AK is alredy cocked. and you dont put it back you pull it back and its not the front its closer to the middle. and AK was well designed. you cant dissagree with that thats why its the common choise of many people who know about weapons. And an AK is a Assualt rifle/ Machine gun all depends on the model there are even AK sniper rifles

Yeah, great way of putting it, man. Seriously, this thing is a real-life Rube Goldberg invention. We already have sniffers, heartbeat and breathing detectors, fiber-optics and all kinds of sneak-n-peek gear. Further, the handgun should be the last firearm chosen as it is inherently less accurate and less powerful in the world of firearms. A shotgun or even a "short-stocked" rifle is the way to go.

I have mixed emotions about this one... i think am gonna cry....

... It is however a very real threat to the guy holding it. Ever read an SAS manual on hostage rescue or indoor takedowns? Pistols are great there because of their maneuverability. That's why they also use MP5s.

That being said I can see a few problems with a set-up like this.
(1) Recoil. When it is bent the recoil is not going to be absorbed by the person holding it in the usual way, it's going to push the gun sideways.
(2) Accuracy. Notice in the video how many times it missed targets etc. This is also partly due to it being bent, and partly due to the camera system used to aim.
(3) False sense of security. A hostile may be hiding in the corner and the people using them in this video seemed to only check most of the rooms they were entering. Without this you would have to check all of the room once you entered it out of neccessity, with this you may not think to.

you can add a m4 to it so its not just limited to pistals you should do more research other then watching this poorly made demonstration video

The gun is moreso meant for SWAT operations where an entire team wouldn't be using one but one or possibly two members would be. This would allow a team to quickly and effectively clear a building without as high of a risk to its members. The reason for why the majority of the people in the video have them is because they are attempting to show the versatility of the weapon; they are not trying to say that everyone would be carrying one. And if it's as simple as they make it sound, all you would have to do to quickly deploy that would be have it slung on your back and then just pull it out, attach your sidearm to it and then be good to go. Also a 9mm or .45 has enough power to kill or wound...that's all it needs to do, it's not in direct competition with an AK round, which by the way is 7.62mm. But anyways I guess I'm just trying to say don't try posting and shooting down a great innovation that could save lives just because you have a minimal understanding of modern weapons and tactics...Also, I'm sure it runs on more than just a simple D battery....

pistols do really well in close quarters versus insurgents wearing little or no body armor. ak47 doesnt matter if the guy with it cant see you.

This device, and some of the footage from this clip is shown on a documentary they had on tv. I think it may have been the Military Channel. This invention actually has the ability to hold a modified M-16. Another weapon it has the capability of using is a 40mm grenade launcher. OK I would like to se an M16 on that piece of shit. What are you thinking that crap will only be able to shoot acuratly once due to recoil. An M16 will rip your hand off with that shit if you will shoot it. There is no shoulder support or any support at all. Try to tie an M16 to a pipe with a bent and you will experiense what im talking about. One more thing, what do you do if there are 4 more guys with AK-47s that you dont see. In close distance an AK round will shoot through a cement wall that you are covering behind. ive seen this on some military special, its also compatible with some kind of assault rifle like an M4A1 and also with a grenade launcher. but your right about the field of vision issue. Peripheral vision is zero and and straight ahead vision is minimal. if the guy has half a brain and semi decent cover, the SWAT officer is going to have one hell of a time trying to get a bead on his target. this technology still needs some serious devellopment before it can actually be effective.

Realy we thought the bullet flies out than turns in mid air. What you think we are blind? and what were you saying about one scene it had a clock? I dont recal seing clocks in there. and its not effective. Like you are not going to see a flash light thats on. usually smart suspects knock the lights out in areas where they are at so snipers will have a harder time findting targets. and in the dark you wont see shit with that little camera. and what the hell with the laser aming?

You cant make a bulet that explodes you dumb ass unless it hits something. And they dont explode smart one they expand.

It is about the same size as a .45 calibur round. Each round has a computer chip. When the rifle is aimed, it calculates the distance. The shot can be placed to the side or above the target. If your target is hiding behind a barrier, the round will explode above or to the side at the correct distance, hitting your victim. It is all in the testing stages right now.

how the fuck will the bullet explode? It needs to have somekind of a charge in it to make it explode and a mechanism that gives the charge electricity to explode. I think you are bullshittin.
