If you haven't been there then you have no idea, and if you have been there then you didn't come with the right attitude. Go to an American Football game and tailgate for six hours with a grill and throw the (USA) football around. On a beautiful summer day, get a hot dog, some peanuts and cold beer and sit out in the bleachers. You're hipper than though attitude is tres boring. When I'm in England, I'll drink your cask conditioned ale and watch (World) football on the Tele. No need to dis what you just don't understand.

      you do pose a good question. why do a lot of countries hate us? maybe they should ask themselves that and then ask themselves if their reasons are justified. my guess is it's a lot of bitterness or jealousy. i'm not talking about the general population, i'm talking about the leaders who lie about the horrors and failings of america just to make their country (better said, themselves) look better. and by the way, i know the US isn't perfect so don't bother bringing it up. no one and no country is perfect, but having lived foreign I would definitely have to say that the US is the best. unless you like living in poverty, then by all means, keep doing whatever it is your country is doing. and by the way, i know not all countries live in poverty.

      ...is that there are quite a few countries with standards of living higher than those in the USA. The US has the largest economy, but its society is very stratified and it has levels of poverty unheard of in, say, Canada, Sweden, Italy, Australia, the UK. Its rates of crime are high and it is quite inefficient in certain areas because the distrust of government leads the US people to favour market solutions where they are inappropriate. Insurance industries siphon off so much money from the system. What's more, the US has now painted itself into a corner economically. It has such high levels of debt and is so overleveraged that the government is faced with either rampant inflation or a deflationary implosion. If you think things seem okay right now, trust me...they ain't. Further rises in the price of oil and/or the continuing devaluation of the dollar will reach a tipping point from which things are going to go haywire.
