  • GET DATA BACK

Another Good software is "GetDataBack" [ -1 ]
Just last week I recovered 80GB of Data from an accidentally formatted hard disk. While recovering you have to be smart to select what exactly you want to recover because it also recovers those files which were deleted long time back even before formatting the hard disk. Otherwise you will end up deleting the unwanted files again. I learnt it the hard way though :). Had to waste a lot of time but glad finally got my data back.

      • Well, u can try to fill up hard disk ful...

As u know hard disk reserves the empty space for writing data but deleted files occupy the space. What u can do is fill up all your hard disk with some large movies folder (say 3 or 4 gb) by copy and paste again and again with different names or copy and paste a folder full of movies again and again till your hards disk is full. Then delete all the extra folders. Now the empty space u will get is actually occupied with (deleted) movies which u deleted now and the previous deleted files will be out of trace. Lotta softwares boast about wipe outs but ultimately the final solution is to physically damage the hard disk.

      • With a program suite...

called System Mechanic. Google it to get the latest, or go to your local software store. It has a feature call the Incinerator - anything deleted from it will be overwritten from 2-10 times - you set the number of times.

There are other features as well.

        • You can delete permanently from HDD !

Not true, there is still a trace of your activity on the hard drive and the only true way to get rid of any traces is to swipe it with a magnet but then you damage your hard drive. The best way is to a use portable hard drive and download anything that you don't want people to find to this.
