when model planes get over a certain size they have to be inspected by the CAA and then only people with a certain license can fly them

What the heck is "the crossspeed " of an airplane? I'm a professional pilot and I have never heard that term.
in ducth they call it "kruissnelheid". Ifyou translate it it would be cross-speed. What I ment was the speed that is normally mesured in all planes without GPS, wich ins't the 'real' speed. Like if you fly at 200 km/h and you have 25 km/h wind coming from behind, than you fly faster than 200 but your speed control sais 200. I don't know the right name in English, maby you could tell me

That is a really cool plane. I like the sound it makes too. Great shot looking straight up silhouetting the clouds, looks real. I recently watched the movie "Empire Of The Sun" and in the making of docu they showed how they used similar sized model planes for the movie shots.

i watch the efforts my friends in the ''misfits'' fly and its some pretty great ww2 stuff and you can bet i forwarded this link off to them.
FYI.. everything you see these modelers fly THEY BUILD FROM SCRATCH !! and many try to to do a one of a kind.... also if you ever have chance to go to a show ...do so !!! you won't be sorry,YOU WILL BE HOOKED !

It's rare for a model of anything to be able to give me goosebumps, but this one did it. Great job with the video and building this machine.
I wonder if they need to book a fly zone permit. It'll be awsome if they mounted paint ball guns on it.

That thing is big enough to be called REAL. Guiness should only record the smallest model and the largest real stuff.

a galaxy transport plane in a similar scale close to where i live the engines alone cost over £2000 each
