  • Rugby League VS American Football

    Rugby league is THE hardest team sport compared to amercan football or soccer or even rugby union, i know this because i have played both codes of rugby myself both league and union and i have two relatives who have both played for Great Britain at rugby league. I am a huge Leeds Rhinos fan who are currently one of the best rugby league teams in the world, one of our players, Barrie McDermott, retired from playing at the end of last season, he was undoubtedly an easy match for ANY NFL player, he was not only a really big guy, he was very very physically fit for his size he could even sidestep off both feet, but most of the time he just wanted to crash right through them, thats the problem with all the american football players they're quite fat some of them are very obese where you can see the fat hanging down from there shirts. Your running backs would not stand a chance against someone like Keith Senior who plays centre for the rhinos his strength and pace is unlimited. These people are not padded up to the eyeballs because they dont need to be, they are brought up like rottweilers they are as hard as nails, please explain to me why the people who block like the right guard and the right tackle and the left guard and left tackle need to wear pads because all they do is bend over and expose their fat asses to the world, then after the snap do a sumo like routine with their opposite number.

    Please, just because they don't use pads don't mean crap thats highschool stuff.

    PLUS THE RUGBY GUYS ARE LITTLE GUYS MAYBE 5'8" 175LBS, THEY DON'T NEED PADS BECAUSE THEY DON'T HIT THAT HARD THAT OFTEN.

    I will give it to them that they have better endurance, but when you have guys that avg. about 6'5" 280lbs there strength will surpass Rugby guys. The HARDEST hits of the Rugby guys are nothing compared to the average hits of football players 280lbs running damn near as fast as one of your Rugby players, to not wear pads would be certain injury and death to any Rugby player.

    Now Im all for supporting stuff you like but theres no room for ignorance, and saying Rugby is way tougher than American Football is an example of full blown IGNORANCE.


    Now if we want to really say whos tougher, I would have to say these little stupid skating punks take the cake, Ive known a couple Pro skaters, (NO IM NOT A SKATING FAN) I would hang out with them and these guys can take a beating and keep on ticking.

    But back to the Rugby thing, I don't like Football or Rugby really but its without any doubt that Football might not have the endurance but football has the strengh and some good endurance, so American Football would be the tougher sport.

And usually the injuries are far more severe than ones you get in baseball, basketball and American football. Personally, I think alot of the American football players, as it's soccer in America, are a bunch of pussies. There are some that I admire. But others. A minor injury and they're out for a game. I know, the staff don't want them to further injure themselves, but some of this stuff you can still play with. And they have all the pads and gear. Soccer. You've got shinguards and cleats. That's it.

      Im an American and i play soccer. I agree that baseball and all those other gay sports dont require skill or talent at all. Including American football. Soccer is where the real talent and skill is needed. It is the most physically and mentally challenging sport, period. And soccer is not a 'P***y sport,' people get injured every game in only high school soccer. I havent had a single soccer season in which one of my team mates didnt break anything. Its tough enough for anybody.
