Attorney Dan Burke of Parker Waichman describes how contact lenses can actually cause injury to your eye.

If you wear contact lenses and are experiencing eye pain, check to make sure that the brand of lenses you wear is not part of a recent national recall. The recall includes certain lot numbers of Avair Toric and Avaira Sphere lenses manufactured by Coopervision. These lenses were found to be tainted with a harmful residue.

The recall was spurred by complaints of blurry or impaired vision, eye pain, or even corneal abrasions and tears caused by the residue. The lenses are sold by major national retailers like Costco, Walmart and Lenscrafters.

If you have suffered an eye injury from these lenses, you might be able to make a claim for compensation.
