- They're too big!
  They just catch and release these big fellas. Smaller cats (1-1.5 lbs.) are the best, or perhaps even a bit smaller.

  My grandpa used to take us kids catfishing down near Alturas, CA. Catfish, caught by us and fried up by grandma was absolutely the best fish I've ever tasted. Don't know about these big'uns, tho. The ones we caught and ate were all around 8 to 14 inches max
