  • Not such a blooper

    This poor man died. He came out from the store, arms laden with groceries, and unwittingly found himself between a mama moose and her calf. The mom panicked and thought the man was out to get her baby, and the result is what you see here in the vid. Never, ever get between a mama moose and her calf, or you'll end up like this poor man. People stood around and watched, which is why we have the vid. They didn't intervene, though, because they know that once a moose is pissed, he/she's pissed at everyone. The critters like to mosey into town, too, so moose-sitings in BC are quite common. That's where this took place, btw.

      This took place in Anchorage, Alaska, and it was at a univeresity/college. From what I've learned, some kids had been tossing snowballs at the calf, so by the time this poor guy came out of the building, the mama was royally pissed. She took out her frustration on him. Same warning, though. Never go near - or toss snowballs at - any moose, or other wild animal, esp. ones with babies.
