A 15 years old plays druums like a pro.Amasing drum solo. One day i think he is going to be a drum star.He is from Oslo Norway.WWW.JEWBLOG.NET WWW.JEWBLOG.NET
myself play drumset and this kid is good at playing fast and thats about it...
he changes so much that what hes playing has no rythym, plus he changes tempo so much it sounds all of the place. his fills and solos are completely different tempos from his main ride that it just sounds horrible,
he has good coordination i'll give him that but otherwise anyone can just bang on a drumset.
Like he stated Before, He started with a Simple rythm, It worked at first but he then started Varying the Rythm Alot Which alot of Drummers try to do but in a more complex way like changing Time Signatures, and Yes He speeds up Alot. I know Im a big Critic, But It's just he is too Random at what he plays,His Chops are Alright and it seems like most of the time he plays what kind of sounds right, then Gets carried away and plays randomly, But non the less, fir his age hes alright....
By Wussie 1254446116 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removethe kid is really fast when it comes to playin the drums but i cant here any good rythm, his rythm isn't consistent... in fairness he is really good and not all can boast that they can do the tricks he did while playing the drums... 5 stars for the speed and hand coordination of the kid...
By retoke 1190208393 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removebut seems to be this is not for solo presentations... All the timings is out of beat... He's creating noise..
But well kid, work with it... Practice makes you good.
I've been doing music full time for the last 12 years... might I add that "Practice doesn't make perfect. It makes PERMANENT." if you practice badly, you are building towards permanently sounding bad. It's "SOUND (ie correct techniques) practice that makes PERFECT." I hope he gets his fundamentals fixed, if he wants to go far.
By psyched 1194278662 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveActually, if you had ever studied the asthetics of sound, you would be aware of the fact that hitting an object with the intent of creating reverberation (sound), would ceases being noise and be considered sound (or a musical note, in this case). When you drop a frying pan onto the floor, that's a noise; when you kick a garbage can because you're angry and want to make a dramatic point, that is sound.
By Sawta 1193689637 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeyou dont know to play the drums...you know how to hit them...you gotta feel them dude....youre nothing if you only have technique and no feel
By kretzul 1189327168 Reply Spam [+2] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveNot quite what I'd call amazing, but for his age, he's good.
By explotapotomas 1189561398 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI play drums myself. I agree the kid has talent and I'd love to be able to play *some* of the stuff he played there. But to me it sounds like a mess. Drumming isnt just about speed! Sure it sounds good in moderation but come on. His timing was all over the place, I'd like to see him in a clip playing with a band. See if he could control himself and keep in time.
By chris_ie 1189426813 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveA solo isn't about keeping in beat it's about improvisation... I'm sure if he wanted to be boring he could just solo to an even beat but this kid obviously chose not to... SOLOING IS ABOUT HAVING FUN! THIS KID F**kING ROCKS.. AND THOSE STICK MOVES ARE OUTRAGES!! LOL KEEP IT UP MAN!
By WizardJoker7 1217295208 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveNice making nose buddy... great talent..
By Jhohammad 1194116588 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveBut it would actually be impressive if it wasn't double bassed. My brother can play almost as fast with single pedal AND play the rest of it in rhythm... THATS impressive.
Keep practicing, though, you do certainly have somethin goin on
if you cannot see the natural talent in this young man you are missing the whole point of this video. yes his rhythm was a bit erratic that is something that only time and a good teacher will bring .5 stars he had the balls to put a video on here not just criticize others. keep it up kid
