here's my favorite registry hack:

-Open RegEdit
-Goto HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTFolderShell
-Create a new key, call it "Command Prompt"
-Create a subkey named Command
-Set Command default value to "Cmd.exe/kcd%1"
-Close RegEdit

Now, right-click on any folder for a prompt starting in that directory. Even works on My Computer (inits to desktop directory, ever had to go there from C: ?)
