When he says that he "J-B welded" the part in place he's talking about the fact that he's using a type of machinable 2-part epoxy (called J-B Weld) found at most hardware stores. It has 2 white toothpaste-tube style tubes; one with red printing and one with black printing. Even if this project doesn't turn out having this type of epoxy is quite handy for any DIY project that you dream up.
