An animated diagramm that illustrates in an admittedly very simplyfied form how the video search engine lumerias.com (or any search engine in general) works.

In essence, Lumerias operates in three steps: crawling, indexing and building. The crawler fetches resources and stores the data into barrels. The indexer analyzes the barrels and converges meta-data into another set of barrels. The builder destilles an inverted index from that and passes it on to the searcher.

The searcher uses the inverted index to answer user queries via the graphical web frontend.
