In my opinion, this video was extremely sucky. But guys, do not blame americans for the whole stuff. Just look at the films that are shown on tv, most of them show americans fighting fot their country and always winning. They sacrifice themselves for the flag and honour. It is ok that they devote themselves but we are only able to see the good aspects of war, not seeing the destruction, pain and suffering. This non-violent resolution is made possible through sharing of information and comunication: diplomacy. Artfully practiced diplomacy, and a spirit of openess and cooperation in the affairs nations obviates the need for war.
What of the second world war: if all nations including the U.S. had been working together for the common weal in the League of Nations, germany and japan would not have been allowed to rearm. Further back, if a win-win, no zero sum strategey had been pursued, Versailles may not have exacted so great a fiscal penalty on Germany, etc. Each case can be analysed retrospectively and for each case an non-sanguinary, non-economically deleterious way out can be found.

WWII is a good example of force not being used when it should have been. The result of course was a world war. Hitler was allowed to rearm because the rest of Europe was afraid of the prospect of another WWI. Remember the Neville Chamberlain quote when he returned from his meeting with Hitler? "We have peace in our time". Of course, shortly therafter tanks with swastikas painted on the turrets were rolling through France and London was being bombed. Like it or not, the only way to deal with some regimes is through force. Most countries in the Middle East are in this category. The world is lucky the US is around to keep these regimes in check.
