By Chambrette thefrench 1190134297 Reply Spam [+2] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removewhich size did you use?
By jackduggin 1190096146 Reply Spam [+2] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveGood question. I bought a 3 pack for about $.89. I didn't see any other sizes. Hope that helps!
By PeaceLovinMoma 1190135931 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveDo you have to add the extra water at the end, or can you keep it small and use concentrated amounts? Also, do you know any good homemade stain remedies?
By ZackScott 1190088928 Reply Spam [+2] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI guess you could leave out the water or cut it in half. I would highly recommend playing around with the recipe to find what works for you and your family. Though to me a half cup is already a small portion. You'd have to be very careful to not use much at all.
For stains, good old hydrogen peroxide works brilliantly as does regular baking soda made into a paste.
I put a teaspoon of Dynamo 2X in with the mix, and I must say my clothes never looked cleaner. I'll try some bleach too with my whites.
By bigbadbarn 1206946971 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI am not familiar with this product and do not know how it works or what it is, thanks for sharing your success though
By PeaceLovinMoma 1207008226 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveDynamo 2x is like Tide or All, only a different brand name. The 2x means it is double strength. It's optional for really clean clothes.

I am unable to find the washing soda. And cannot find where it has been sold in the past on their website. Would you be able to send me the link?
Thanks
Try this phone number 1-800-524-1328 to find the washing soda. It will list stores in your area that sold the product in the past 3 months. It is called "Super Washing Soda." Good luck!
I believe it is carried at a lot of Kroger stores.
This stuff goes together in about a third the time if you heat the water up before you add the soap! (it takes me about 15 minutes or less, quicker then running to the store and buying a store brand!) I've tried other recipes for it online, but this one cleans the best!
By Steeny 1212606155 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removejust made my first batch.. my daughter told me about it.. thanks plan on saving some money
Glad you tried it and I hope you like it. I need to make some up tomorrow myself!
By PeaceLovinMoma 1206933001 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWhen it does seperate, do you try to scoop a bit of gel and liquid or do you ignore the gel and only us the liquid?
By ShannonMarie 1204898478 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI actually use mostly the gel part for regular loads of laundry. I use a tablespoon of the liquid only when I wash cloth diapers.
If you are washing cloth diapers with this recipe, Ivory is the only soap I recommend btw since the other laundry bars add color and smell.
Can you use that in a He front load washer?
And yes, you are very pretty, very natural.
Shannon
I don't see why not but I know nothing about front loaders. This functions like other laundry soaps just with less suds.
By PeaceLovinMoma 1204859743 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveGood job, shorter would be better though.
5*
well I tried this and it worked just like you said, but do you use the gelled part of this or throw it out? If you use it do you mix it with the liquid part?
By bigbadbarn 1200284937 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveUse all of it. I try to use a bit of gel and liquid with my loads
By PeaceLovinMoma 1207008089 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveCan you substitute any other kind of soap or laundry detergent, and at what amount?
By taingo 1194212356 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeyou can use any laundry soap bar, the original recipe I saw called for Octagon but that turns it green and i use it for cloth diapers and can have no colors or smells
By PeaceLovinMoma 1207008140 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIs this very sudsy? I have a front loader and am worried it would be too sudsy for my machine. Thanks!
By teachinmy4 1192287063 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveAs a matter of fact, I should have mentioned that it won't suds up much at all when in the washer. It should work great for a front loader!
By PeaceLovinMoma 1192296055 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveInstead of using a milk jugs, just buy 1 gallon and half gallon water jugs (same jugs, different liquids). Not only is it cheaper than milk, you won't have to "clean them very well."
Great video btw, 5 Stars
thanks u so much for the file
By jamesonkirkland 1191322159 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveNot only is this cheaper and better for the environment, but it's a great idea for anyone with sensitive skin/allergies.

By PeaceLovinMoma 1189962100 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removethat is great! Especially because you know exactly what is going into it, if you buy pure stuff at the health food store they charge soooo much, what a racket!!!
thanks again!
"Use soap"
By poomunkie123 1214688220 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIt was my first time making the laundry soap everything went smoothly but it still has not gelled, it is still a liquid? I was wondering if you may have any idea why. Thank you.
By stello86 1214061567 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI have heard this from people before and my only suggestion is to double check your ingredients and quantities.
Make sure you are using Super Washing Soda, NOT baking soda first of all. And real Borax. Then what bar are you using? I have only ever used Ivory but it works with any laundry bar from the laundry soap isle. My original recipe called for Octagon. If you've got all the ingredients right check quantities.
Also, it does take a day to gel sometimes so be sure you've given it enough time.
Good luck, hth!
Thanks so much for the savings! 5 stars is the least I can do to thank you. Great job. I'll be keeping an eye out for more of your vids. Didn't I just see you on CNN? :) If not it was someone using this idea.

By PeaceLovinMoma 1190055065 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removesupermarkets carry it in the detergent isle right next to the borax.
By Hoopajoo 1190422509 Reply Spam [+2] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removekroger does carry this and wal mart doesn't.
they have the borax though.
washing soda is sodium carbonate. it's used for other things, too. I found it in the pool section of Lowe's , brand name: Kem-Tek,
product name: pH Plus
$15 for 15lbs.
Until June 30 '08, there's a $10 off $25 printable coupon for Lowes, so you buy this and get $10 to play. (google 'Lowes Visa 10 off 25' and you'll find the coupon)
5 STAR BACK FOR ME PLZ
By indiend23 1190027400 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removedid you factor in the cost of fuel and water when you computed the price? I agree that it is nice to control the chemicals in your household, but I don't think you will save quite as much money as you think. I got to thinking about that back when I used to make my own tofu from soy beans.
By kelley42 1190617149 Reply Spam [-2] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI would suggest leaving the baby somewhere else for her/his safety, hot water, stove and a baby on your back is a recipe for a bad situation.
