By GBprod 1190090617 Reply Spam [+6] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI bought that exact batter and found just 4 big D lookin batteries inside. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
By Maverick22 1191112341 Reply Spam [+4] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI open an Eveready heavy duty battery of that size and found the same thing: four long "D" type batteries. They were the same diameter as a "D", but twice as long. I wonder what brand has the "AA" 's?
By oniard 1191215259 Reply Spam [+2] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIt didnt work for me ether, i got 4 really massive batterys that dont fit into anything.
By Silent Civilian 1191371899 Reply Spam [+2] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removemabe the one with the AA is the one in the video you morons

By Nickstar1987 1190250647 Reply Spam [+6] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIs the voltage the same? Are those little ones 1.5v and last as long as normal energizer/duracell AA batteries?
By FoxMcWeezer 1190272627 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removestandard AA.
By rafflorida 1190323423 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removebut they vary in milliamp hours (mah). 2000 is a good battery but i have seen them as low as 250 mah's, so there may be no use getting the 32 batteries if they last minutes where other batteries last hours
By frostyyyyyyyy 1190660301 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removefrostyyyyyyyy is right

I have several GP (brand name) NiMH rechargeable AA batteries that output at 1.2V @ 2250 mAh versus the standard 1.5V. Bought them on Ebay a while back and I think they came from Canada. Causes some electronic devices to function incorrectly so I just use them in those annoying noise-making toys all toddlers must have.

By chatafu 1190655529 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIf you have a 6 volt battery and dump out 32 penlite size batteries, you now have 32, 0.1875 volt batteries, so you save nothing. Do not believe this guy, figure it out for yourself.
By razsr8241 1210562835 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIf you line them up parallel in circuit, you dont add up the volts... read a book before you criticize
By Cykomunkee17 1217061118 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIf you want the bigest # of aa's you cab get them at most dollar stores for 4 for 1$ or then 20 for 5$. Ive seen them at places like big lots for a 36 pack for 5.99 also. Course these cheap batteries dont last to long.
By bobjr94 1192057016 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removemy little bro bought this pack of like a kagillion batteries at a dollar store for $5 and i put 2 in my cd player and i couldent even get through the first song(Crazy Train, by Ozzy Osbourne)

By chatafu 1190655844 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeto me i click refresh up top and it works...
By damianwatches 1190219827 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIt Takes 32 of them AA battery's to make 6 volts, and the original a battery's are 1.5 volts. So 4 original battery's are 6 volts, witch means that the 32 betters have low voltage. sorry Im no electrition
By realmzzz 1190137593 Reply Spam [+2] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removebatteries wired in parallel do not add voltage, they add amperage. 1.5x4=6volts. That means if you wired 8 of them in parallel and wired each set of 8 in series, you'd get 6volts with 8 times the amps of a single AA battery.
By Thaddio 1190139588 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThink about it, it is a series-parallel. There could be 4 branches connected in series, that have 8 batteries in each (8 x 4=32) connected in parallel (voltage doesn't add up, current does), then the 4 branches are connected in series (so 1.5 1.5 1.5 1.5=6, wow). Also, witch is like someone who rides on a broom, school is your friend.

By Beachgal 1190083671 Reply Spam [+4] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThis is a Carbon zinc lantern battery. Each one of these cells = about 1/7 the capacity of a standard alkaline AA. This pack is most likely 4 groups of 8 cells (connected in parallel to give 3000mAh). 1 Energizer AA is 2850mAh. It is a good concept, but probably won't save money in the long run
By batterydude 1190128863 Reply Spam [+3] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThis is a twin turbine triple reverse insulated diagnostic, with each flip capsule triangulated to coordinate simple decomp. Why would it be anything else?

By hersheymagic2 1190083499 Reply Spam [+3] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveHow could you do this. $7.50 garbaged. You sure didn't earn the money they paid you. I should have known if it sounds to good to be true it is usually just that. This sure came under this saying. OK, I got duped! I know I am not alone in the boat though and the boat is probably way too full! Live & learn!!
By Dobek9 1191985214 Reply Spam [+2] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI used the exact same brand of battery and just got 4 large 1.5v batteries. I have a picture in my photos on flickr. username: "the.arctic"
By the.arctic 1190575925 Reply Spam [+2] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI just went and bought a 6volt battery, did everything, had to take a hacksaw to the fucking thing, but I finally got the top off and I got pwned. There was nothing than 4 crappy c cells inside. no bounty of glorious AA's, just some useless flashlight batteries.
Not true - contains 4 non-standary batteries. Don't fall for this.
By Jimr 1190492576 Reply Spam [+2] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveDoesn't work with the vast majority of the 6V Batteries.
By OverlordQ 1190351797 Reply Spam [+2] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI bought a Duracell alkaline 6v, opened it and found I was the proud owner of 4 D cell batterys. I paid 7.99 at Batterys plus for the 6 volt battery so I got gipped.
By Stuvwxyz 1190219205 Reply Spam [+2] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeif you now open up one of the AA batterys you will get 4 mini batterys lol work that out
By BirdyDJ 1190194440 Reply Spam [+2] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeit is a little risky... what if the 6v is filled with acid instead of AA's?
By Not_found_404 1190176753 Reply Spam [+2] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveOuch.
By ipodhacker3 1190217559 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemovePulled a new 4.99 RS basic (NON alkaline) and on the OUTSIDE it looks almost exactly like the one in the movie.
Inside, welp its 4 long D size batteries. Yep, take a D size battery and lengthen it (its length is the full heighth of the 6v battery) and you have it.
Sorry, not gonna tear apart a 11.99 alkaline battery. Its got a metal case which I think would be easier but don't want to burn 12 bux.
I actually tried with a new brand yesterday and came across the same thing! 4 D's. I think you're right, must be certain brands.
By gagfilms 1190156612 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI just tried this on a battery I bought from Wilkinson's in the UK for £2 and it has 8 C batteries instead.
By amkiller 1190129140 Reply Spam [+2] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removei opened mine..yellow 6v from home depot...it has 4 LONG Size D batteries....not AA's . maybe only certain brands have AA's
By badkittykkr 1190091447 Reply Spam [+2] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI tried a different brand and got the same thing. Weird.
By gagfilms 1190156704 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveCheck Snopes.... Just another "fools errand".
I opened a 6v lantern battery, but all it had inside was 4 batteries that were the diameter of D's, but twice as long. Thanks for making me ruin a perfectly good battery, a**hole. 1 star
By Arridos 1192263058 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI sent this to my buddy and he bought a 9 volt battery at the dollar store. All it had inside were these long D cells. If your going to try this, try it on a cheap battery first.
By PeepingTim 1192033304 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeyou should warn people that the batteries found inside of a 6v battery do not have the same protective lining around them which helps reduce leaking and damage to equipment. But again, good video.
Jason
stupid long-D batterys :(
By meloco32 1191292156 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI went out and bought a 6-volt and pryed it open and was suprised by how true everything you see on the internet is real. In fact my penis was instant enlarged!!!!!!!!!
By jampam 1191123714 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveDamn, I expecting the motherload of AA batterries when I tried this on my car's battery, but boy was I surprised to find out otherwise!!
By bbrodie 1190960778 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIt's amazing what people will believe these days. First off, this is from GAGFILMS.com. They saw Kipkay's video and decided to make this spoof. They are not going to admit it's fake, look at the money they are making. It's already been proven fake all over the net. The producers are laughing their butts off, almost making 2k on this, while people are believing them and are out their 5$.
Do more research before you believe anything on the internet. Especially when the first thing you see is gagfilms...
Have to give props to gagfilms though, outsanding job making money on this!
Bought a 6V Energizer lantern battery last night and it won't work with them. Found 4 batteries inside about 5 inches long and about the same diameter as a C cell battery. I guess Energizer has gotten wise to the hack.
By cpnpicard1 1190643601 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThis is obviously a gaffe. If you look at the video when the top is removed you can see that the battries do not fit in the case and that the case is deformed by having the batteries stuffed in. In addition when the batteries are dumped you can see where the labels have been removed from the AA batteries.
By Btomasetti 1190585637 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveCHECK OUT MY VIDEO WITH THE SAME BATTERY AND SEE WHAT IS REALLY INSIDE
By ATMETOYER 1190581483 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removethis video is complete bull shit...all thats in side a 6 volt lantern battery is 4 power cells (plus the fact that 32 standard aa batteries would be alot more then 6v
By kezia 1190521079 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThis is fake check out my video proving it with the same make and model battery
By ATMETOYER 1190500417 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI just bought stock in 6V batteries. For some odd reason, they are selling like crazy!
By brazmil 1190476502 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI get batteries at cost at my company for 8 cents a AA. The mark up is awsome!
By General Bobo 1190469042 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI got two 6 volt lantern batteries from Radio Shack and all they contained was 4 D's in two different batteries...
By foehler 1190408774 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveBe careful, some Lantern Batteries have 4 D-Cells and not the 32 AA's as advertised.
Probably need to make sure the battery looks exactly like in the picture.
