the british soldier song was originally sang by harvey andrews as in this case. i have two other versions of the same song by different singers. this song is based on a real incident in springfield road ruc station in the early 70s when a soldier gave his own life to save others. in this multi clip i have used 1979 to present date footage of northern and the manchester bomb exploding (pnly for effect) any paramility stupid comments will be deleted
i was born in 73 and had no idea this sort of thing was going on could you tell me what it was about and do you have anymore footage?
By the real me thistime 1190237336yes i do have more footage and believe it or not its quite freely available on the internet more so on youtube withjout advertising my site on you tube is caerleonborn i have more such videos on it
By babenewport 1248778542Ireland, not wanting to be part of Britain turned guerilla when britain attempted to take ireland for britain in the early 1800's. Ireland was pissed off with all of britain from then to about.... Now.
The Irish Republican Army (IRA) was turned to disrupting British efforts with bombs, molotovs, rpgs, and AK47's that Britain was forced to surrender.
Personally, i will not ever forget, nor forgive the IRA. My uncle was killed in a riot when his Armoured vehicle was damaged, he got underneath to fix it, when a IRA car rounded the corner while escaping a riot that they had caused, hit my uncles vehicle and killed him because his head was in the engine cavity.
RIP Jerry Armstrong.
yes i have stacks of footage of the troubles this includes ira uda uvf and british army
By babenewport 1190268105This song is used as propaganda by the Crown Forces to degrade the I.R.A.s fight for Irelands freedom
By murphy58 1323379414i only checked this song out due to an ex soldier who was injured in NI appearing on Big Brother at the moment named Steve
There is a soldier at 3:26 who i think could be him as he looks like a younger version of him, could it be him?
i did 5 tours 1974 76 77 spearhead batt queens silver jubilie 78 79 till 81 i did see a lot over there including bombs going off being shot at divis flats the shooting gallery the borders at crossmaglen i have ost two mates over there but i beleived i was there for a perpurse that song means every thing to me because i was there not when it happened but it just shows how we did our job i am proud of what i did and i am proud of what we are doing now god bless our forces
By mozza1954 1258271914I was born in 1979, Never served in the forces, so don't really have the right to comment. I have children and live quite a safe happy life, its easy to blinker ourselves and not care, But we should, I've only just heard of this song, and it made me realise that this is by far a one off story, Things like this very sad story happens all the time, when will we look after each other and stand up for what this country stands for.If my nieve approach offends then I'm sorry.
By Glueby 1245968226of course you have a right to comment its part of being in a democratic country and if you dont comment then how can you put your point of view across please feel free lol
By babenewport 1248778436i was also born in 73 to a soldier serving over there then i too obviously didnt know but was to find out shortly after
