This was one of the fist motors I made after I decided to melt the fuel instead of packing it. It worked good but there was still some casing designs I had to go over.

it's probably 11:20 sugar:kno3, you probably can get kno3 on ebay. (I get it on a dutch site , simular to ebay, i am dutch) you put these in a pan with a little water and keep stirring until it's like caramel. then you put some (1cm) bentonite in a pvc pipe (10 cm) and stamp on it hard. (bentonite is the thing you put in the cat's shitting bay, but crushed til it's a powder) after that you put the sugar:kno3 mix. Wait till the mix is hard and then do a layer of bentonite again and stamp it hard. drill a hole through the bentonite and the mix and put a fuse into there (ebay). Add a stick and it's ready to fly

    • How I did it

65% Potassium Nitrate 35% Sugar 2" tube and a 1/4" thrust hole allthe way through, exept for the back cap witch is made from a 2" ABS cap. The front nozle is a 2" ABS cap as well with the 1/4" nozle hole. I melt the feul on med heat untill carmelized. then pour it into the tube making sure I have a 1/4" dowle rod going through the center for the combustion chamber. After it dries just pull out the dowle rod. Put butter on it though or you will never get it out. Have fun and be safe.

    • Dowle And Butter

The dowle is just a 3/4 inch wood rod and the butter goes on that before you pour the mix in so you wont have any trouble removing the rod after the mix dries. Be sure to wait at least 20 to 30 min before you romove the rod and be careful the mix is very hot.
