    This is alright if you want to clean something with little to no value. All your science is right and I applaud you for that. This is a neat experiment. I can stress very strongly that all expensive jewellery is cleaned by a professional or using the proper supplies. Coins should NEVER be cleaned in this way though. I am an avid collector of coins and I know how this can damage precious coins. Many collectors chose to leave the coins the way they are, but in my case I use pro dip with a procedure. This method demonstrated will damage the coin and take thin physical layer off the coin devaluing it.
