i tried it with 4 bags like u said and when i got out side i filled it with air like you said but it wouldnt fly lol... dont know what was wrong i stood out side for like 20 minutes trying to make it fly and then i got angry so i jumped on it and it.... kinda poped. i have a video of it maybe you know what was worng.
o and it was a very very hot day....

I tried this myself, and made sure i did every step that was in this video. But when putting it in the sun, it didnt work, even after 30mins or so in the sun, nothing :(
Is there anything you could suggest i do to fix this? (i made sure there weren't any holes).

You could make this simpler by eliminating two steps:
First, do NOT cut the bottom off one bag. Then, after you tape the rest together, just reverse the last one (the one you left uncut.) Voila! No need to cut the bag and no need to close off the end by twisting it up and securing it.

Nice idea and all but I live by a police station, a fire station plus I have security that monitors my neighborhood. Not to mention about 50-75 miles away is Edwards Air Force Base.

I've done the exact same thing when I was a kid. I saw these types of balloons being marketed in the party store but they were expensive for me during that time since i didn't get that much allowance.
Looking at this video brought me back so many memories. Thanks for the upload.

This video is very well done. I like the instructions a lot. It is cheap, easy, but huge? I wouldn't call it huge. Check my site to see what I mean. I make much bigger ones with the same materials, as I have been doing for a few years. I have released balloons smaller than yours with tags on them, and one was found 230 miles away from its launch site! Someone else emailed me once, saying his balloon had broken 300 miles! I don't often release the big ones because I use them for experimenting, aerial photography and just plain tethered flights. my site is solar-balloons.com
