    Inflation and usury are NOT good. How 'bout reading some history? Ben Bernanke testified that inflation is a tax when pressed. The standard of living has been steadily dropping for a long time. Just because your precious crackberry makes pancakes doesn't mean your standard of living is better.

    Then again you sound like a snooty silver-spoon liberal. Have you ever tried working for a living? Get ready for hyperinflation, it's just around the corner. If you're incapable of living off the land I suggest you either stock up on food or...well I just don't have a better alternative for you.

    if you have studied economics at all you will know this.
    as for $1 being worth 17c, yes from then it was.
    but does that matter so much.

    look at standard of living and the wealth and success of your country.
    the value of the dollar may have decreased butmore isbeing spent and more is being earned, even when inflation and interest rates are taken into account.
