  • The problem

is that the sort of idiot who will drink and drive will watch ads like these and STILL say "Yeah, But I'M good. I KNOW how to drive with a buzz."

  • Yikes!! Message loud and clear !!

They should run these ads on TV instead of, say, "Fruit of the Loom".(or maybe find a way to run them across a computer screen where teenagers are likely to be)

    • teenagers!

you fool, most drink drivers are 40+ old people who think they have enough experience behind the wheel to drive thru a F**king warzone and not take a scratch on their car

    • Sorry, but no.

Most drunk drivers are under the age of 25. I know many a kid at my high school and college who did it on a regular basis. Only one of them died, but I don't know how many wrecks they caused where others were injured or killed.

    • YOU must be about 16yrs old to pull some...

Not only do teenagers like to show off by borrowing their mothers cars and drinking and driving, but they like bring along their friends to kill also, idiot! Just last week, 3 accidents, 4 deaths.. all due to inexperienced young drivers who drank and sped.

    • retarded

retarded system in US and other countries, the minimum age should be 18 not 16... freakin retarded!

    • Minimum age for what?

Drinking or driving? Most states allow only a learners permit at 16 (though some have upped it to 17) and you can't drive alone until you are 18.

    • If it was up to me it would be 25!

Funny you brought me back to this clip.. Just last week, here in Quebec, Canada a l9 yr old crashed his car and killed his 3 best friends. He is being accused of reckless driving while under the influence. It's almost a miracle he lived and got only a scratch while his friends were killed instantly.. sad, very sad.

    • oh really...

where did you learn that? jackass,,,, why don't you go and really check out the statistics before defending your under 40 age class. what a dope! i'm not saying there's not plenty of over 40 drunks,... there are. but there's even more under 40,... way under.

    • 40 year olds

I was a bouncer and I got arrested after work on a very busy night and I was the only guy in jail younger than 21. 80% of the 50 guys in this ATLANTA jail (who were almost all there for DUI) were at least in there 30s... low lifes who spend there nights after work getting drunk to drown their depression... AND THINK THAT THEIR AGE GRANTS THEM THE EXPERIENCE NECESSARY TO DRIVE DRUNK - THE SAME A$$HOLES I'D KICK OUT OF THE CLUBS

By superhuman 1142653614 Reply Spam Moderate Up Moderate Down
    • yep, i hear ya,...

and then at the other end, ... all the young guys, walking away from their dead friends in the car they were just driving, say to themselves, 'i'm a better driver than those old farts BECAUSE i'm young. and my reflexes are so very very good'. .... and isn't THAT nice? naturally, upon hearing that, all their dead friends come back to life and say come on, let's go get a drink!

  • The thing with alcohol is

that when your drunk you think
"aaa, i am the best driver in the world"
" evrybody can see me coming"
" i am not so drunk"
then before you know it you killed sombody or yourself

  • Wow, what an ironic commercial.

How about I'll stop drinking and driving when you make an anti-DWI commercial that makes me feel guilty instead of laugh. I just feel bad that the suv didnt back up and roll over that douchebags head 4 times.

  • ugh

ive got pulled over and charged with BAC, after having 2 beers, and I was driving perfect. apparantly, cops start to hawk night gatherings and follow you when you decide to drive after leaving from the bar or club. so lesson is, even though you can do it, you have nothing to gain and everything to lose.

bloody hell just stay at the pub m8, drinks are on the house..

  • There's no need to guess anymore anyway....

...'cause Brookstone (and I'm sure other specialty gift companies) sell a little breathalyzer that you can keep in your glove box. So no matter how "good" you or a friend feels, you can take a hit on that and see where you are as far as the law is concerned. I've got one, and there have been times where I've felt completely fine for driving, but was still blowing like a .11 or something.

And yeah, people who drive drunk are f*cking idiots - too many people die from that bullsh*t every year, and every year thousands more people say "hmm, nothing has happened to me so far, nothing will happen tonight!" Get drunk with a designated driver or take a cab home ($30 is a lot cheaper than what a DUI will cost you - and you might not even get pulled over for bad driving, it could be a tail light out or something that puts you in front of the cop to start).

  • Dangerous

the moment a person (REGARDLESS OF AGE) decides to drive while under the influence there taking everyones life in their hands and the car becomes a weapon! there was an accident about 4 years ago involving a drunk driver where he ended up in hospital for a few weeks and the family (NOTE: FAMILY) in the other car, lost a young girl and the father. this had a knock on effect and created havoc in a lot of people's lives, all because he was too selfish to get a taxi. They'res no excuse and shows a lack of respect to other peoples lives.

this is like the fifth ad like this i've seen made by this company
i think it works and is pretty effective, hope they keep up the good work and the message they send is working

  • Courtesy of the Government of British Co...

My provicial govt ( I'm from Victoria) has several of these shock ads against drunk driving. There's another one with the girlfriend in the passenger seat with the same dialogue and then she gets smoked in the door by a big truck. It beats the hell out of this one.

By LtJackboot 1143258712 Reply Spam Moderate Up Moderate Down
  • Hmm

It doesn't actually show whether or not he WAS actually drink driving. Anyway, drug driving is just as bad. They drill it into you with ads, campains, everything, but there's always that one idiot who thinks they know better until they're proven wrong the hard way. Pathetic.

  • brutal but..

maybe ads like those will get through to a few people.
kinda violent but so are drunk driving accidents.

  • sorry

I took a second look - I didnt realise the first time it was the guy on the seat got cleaned up - not a drunk pedestrian - had 2 many drinks myself I guess...
Good thing I don't drink & drive hey!

By amazon02 1142138847 Reply Spam Moderate Up Moderate Down
  • Its obvious.....

The pedestrian was drunk!!! It wasnt the driver at all!!!!!!!!!!
Tricked yaaaaa's...... we sure did S**t yeah!!!!!!!!!!

  • Nice

But i'd still like a slow-motion replay on the action and maybe a severed head that flies through another car's windshield and that car crashes to schoolkids crossing the street which would splat into a wall nearby killing graffiti sprayers. Then a text "Defiling public property kills"

By Dustmite 1141917537 Reply Spam Moderate Up Moderate Down
  • mmm dodgy

its ok but u can tell that they guy aint even touched with the car and the bench he was sat on is already on the floor wen the car goes over it its ok not that good

By Drewzkie 1141902262 Reply Spam Moderate Up Moderate Down
    • My guess is

they probably don't have a ton of money to do great CG stuff (since it is a "public service" ad) so they just did their best with what they had and didn't want to actually risk killing someone.
