common problem with trucks. The truck locked the rear wheels causing it to kick sideways. As the result the front wheels are not pointing straight down the road anymore but pointing off the road instead, as the result it was re-steered of the road and if you dont counter steer the truck it will simply drive off the road or into oncoming traffic.

A bit of a curve and a downgrade with some rain making it slick. But that was totally preventable. There was no need to hit the brakes hard enough to lock the wheels. Bad place to learn basic driving skills.

Modern vans are usually front wheel drive so as to keep the cost of fleet repairs down by not having to repair peop shafts but you can clearly see that a long van with no load in the back is just to long a vehicle to have as front wheel drive.
