Not so dumb
matches get wet and won't work...lighters run out of fuel or break...plus the bat and steel wool can be used for other purposes too.

  That was just a picture I had from a camp fire to use as a Fire example. However using the 9v and Steel wool would serve better for lighting fires in many conditions in my opinion.

  It would have been enough to start a small fire, and thats all the demonstration I wanted to show. Yes, using a bigger piece of steel wool, and a fully charged 9volt will give you a bigger fireball, but I just wanted to example how it could be done.
