YE GODS_
A NEW MUSICAL COMEDY WRITTEN BY ANTHONY O'HAGAN FROM DUNDALK IRELAND.
INSPIRED BY THE SINGING VOICE OF SUZANNE CARLA McDONNELL
************************************************
In the Happy Heavens Retirement Valley for Over-the-Hill Immortals, Pan, Venus and her Irish equivalent Áine, are playing a little game to ward off boredom and the feeling of being a bit...well…over the hill. To capture just a little of the old magic they are trying to unite…or not unite... two couples.
One couple, Dermot and Sheila have known each other for just two weeks. The other couple, Lombard and Kris are gay and although they have known each other since childhood they are not yet an item. Then there is Brigid who is proving extremely difficult to find a match for.
The first one to match a couple wins the game. Simple! Or it would be only for the arrival of an old friend/deadly rival Beelzebub who adds his own dimension to the events. He also introduces another couple, a soldier and his bride of just a few days.
The soldier is of a jealous nature and has just found out that his young bride is rather prone to having little affairs of the heart on the side.
Beelzebub, who in turn was idolised as a God and Demonised as an Anti-God has another ally in the shape of Thora who has her own very clear views of what a God should be and how He would behave.
It all comes to a tragic ending but they all live happily ever after!
