Aikido technique kotegaeshi on tanto dori, knife attacks, by aikido instructor Stefan Stenudd, 6 dan Aikikai. For more about aikido and tantodori, see my website.
Hi all. I got 1st dan black belt, studying aikidok for 5 years. Before I started aikido I was also thinking that opponents were really cooperating and willing to lose. But in reality it is not like that, when Aikido is exercised normally I mean full speed, you really need to fall down or jump because you are forced to do so. In this video moves are made very slow because of this it is looking like cooperating.

Akido overpowers you with your own strength. It makes use of your own momentum.
You have not learnt it well. Go train again and practise more.
It all looks so very clean and precise.
Not the hammering of karate, etc. Looks
great. I wish I could do it. Thanks for posting.
I removed spam and accidentally erased the "No dice" comment. Sorry. And it was a positive comment, at that :(

By xXEllinaSXx 1191180836 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveSorry, I thought that I did it slow enough, and I sort of stopped shortly after each step. Maybe I should do the whole thing in slow motion.
