This is a magic effect allowing the magician to slice his arm, hand, head, etc. with a playing card. The magician can then heal himself instantly, simply be wiping the blood away. However, the experiment has left a terrible scar.

I should point out that my method here doesn't use a chemical reaction.

I've used the method you're referring to before and have found it to be far too messy and imprecise.

My method is self-contained and doesn't require you to carry a laboratory worth of chemicals with you. So the effect can be performed anywhere.
