It is not that hard. it is called double jointed correct but you cant get out of cuffs reason being that even though your hands are holding each other you have to get some distance between your cuffs and the cuffs I tried held my wrists close so it was hard (and painful) to try to put my hands infront of me when I was cuffed from behind.
by the way I had the cuffs put on just to try this so i am not a criminal :P

actually, even if double jointed people are healthier in old age, it's not an extension of time for reproduction(if it were, then it would be due to us living in a world more suited for double jointed individuals), and if there is no elongation of time for reproduction then there is no difference in the evolutionary fitness for single or double jointed people. It is a random occurrence of a gene and develops no trend for increased offspring.
