most vissoneer scanners... are 12V... i rigged one of these lights.s in a similar fashion.. for my vehical makes a killer cab light and lasts longer..

The coolest part about the video isn't that you can make a light. The coolest part is simply realizing that there are a lot of essentially free parts you can get just by taking apart the old scanner. Nice work!

if ur good enough, you build a program to control the stepper motor in the scanner.. hook 2 up with a laser.. and youve got an automatic laser cutter.. if you have just one.. settle for some scanner music... i did this with a floppy drive.. doesnt make music too well..
