  • But why?

Yes, this would work, but considering the cost of oil and the mess that you will make, it really is not practical. There is also the issue that oil is flammable, so this really is not all that safe to do. An electrical problem could start a fire.

For that matter, you don't even have to use oil. You can operate electronics under water if you use de-ionized water. Pure water does not conduct electricity. But I not recommend it.

  • Bad Idea

What are you going to do when you need to add RAM/hard drive or upgrade the CPU. You will have a major mess to clean up!

  • LOOK CLOSELY!!!

Notice that any wires from the PC are running towards the off-screen area and NOT TO THE BACK OF THE MONITOR OR KEYBOARD!!! This is fake, and will ruin a computer. Heat warms cooking oil, thus it is called COOKING OIL and not COOLING OIL!! You heat up cooking oil, and you deep fry stuff... in this case... A COMPUTER!!!

  • NOT A GREAT IDEA

Immersion of the electronics in cooking oil, particularly the circuit boards will lead to problems.
Unless you can replace and replenish the oil regularly, it will become a rancid, sticky mess.Sure, it will cool things for a short term, but its not practical at all in real life.
Dont give a newbie bad ideas.
