  • what i really dont understand is...

    why all these americans in iraq film what they are doing there (not sure if this is in iraq though). i mean... there are lots of videos on the internet of soldiers in iraq, who filmed how they shoot on people or how they blow up cars. they actually seem to enjoy all that. the fact that they enjoy it is bad enough but that they then even film all this and put it on a website like this is just crazy.

      you will never understand, they joke about it as a way of dealing with what they are faced to do at a stressful point in their lives, and they might shoot on people because they might be holding detonators, not obeying posted signs that warn of lethal force, or be observing and relaying troop movements. Not every "civilian killed" over there is actually a civilian. Sharing their experiences with other military personnel also helps them to relate to their brothers and sisters in arms, and lets them know they are not alone in their experiences. That has been proven to help the Individual help transition back in to a normal state of being and not having PTS.

      You are an idiot. The US military is the greatest military on the planet. That is not idle boasting. At our disposal is aweful weapons of destruction. Look beyond what our armies may have been called to do there is no doubt in any sane persons mind that the US commands the Greatest Armed Forces this planet has ever seen. We have the ability to reach out and touch any one, thing, and/or place with surgical precision.
      But hey just my opinion. If given the choice I would want the best. Maybe you require something else when the S**t hits the fan. But then again I don't understand shooting for second best. I don't have a copy of the big book of Shooting for almost good enough.
