This video contains the "confession letter" written by Chris Bores (Irate Gamer). Never heard of him? That's probably for the best. He is one of the most hated users on YouTube. In the letter, Bores admits to copying material and claims he will not commit the same crime again. However, shortly afterward, he released his review of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - his worst act of plagiarism to date.

  • Seriously?

Using someone's show as a format isn't plagiarism... many online reviews use the same format. As far as the same material...THEY ARE REVIEWING THE SAME GAME. Are you so seriously jaded against this guy that you can't understand this. They are using similar language because they are talking about the same subject. I mean, how may ways can you say a games music is bad, repetitive and wasn't in the movie? Go to any review sites and you'll see a lot of "plagiarism" in the reviews of the same game. If they were making truly original work, and it was the same you would have a point... but referring to reviews...your argument doesn't hold water.

  • seriously?

Who didn't think any of this stuff when they played these games? Just because they have similar criticisms doesn't make it plagiarism. The only time it might have been was when he said he wanted to time travel back to before the game was made.

  • Hey

Great video. I learned about this guy after a few people got their accounts deleted from youtube and heard this guy was behind it.

I watched some of his videos and found them unbearable.

  • He just misspelled his name.

Don't be mad at him, he simply misspelled his nick. His intended name is Pirate Gamer. :-)

  • Dang Dude....

You really neeed to get a life and a dictionary. It is not illegal to do what he is doing. He isn't getting paid for it, and I did not hear where he EVER repeated WORD FOR WORD what the other guy said. And you have accused hm of just that... copying him WORD FOR WORD. So what... he uses someone elses opinion on something on a regular basis. The best form of flattery is imitation.

    • Not to be picky

Sorry for taking a while to respond. Plagiarism comes in many forms. The one you speaks of is known as "verbatim plagiarism". There are other forms as well. Basically, the term refers to any form of intellectual theft where the perpetrator does not acknowledge (and often tries to hide) the source. Here the definition from the University of Ohio: "Plagiarism. "Plagiarism" is the intentional use, without appropriate attribution, of a significant amount, measured either quantitatively or qualitatively, of someone else's work."
