Religion, in its root, is supposed to bring order to chaos and stop mankind from harming ourselves and one another. Also to let us understand that there is a higher power than our own desires (or the desires of those who teach/lead us).

This clip did not show discussion, instead it lumped all Muslims in with the Extremists. While it is true that Muslim extremists have used a warped understanding of thier relligion to jusitify their actions, it does not mean that all Muslims believe such things. Don't forget, the KKK quotes the Bible to justify their actions - this does not mean all Christians believe such things.

I am not a scholar in the Koran, Torah or Bible but I understand they are all from the same root and share the same 10 commandments - as given by GOD / ALLAH. These outwiegh the word of any man and need no interpretation or explaining, for they a simple by design. When any religious leader justifies killing by giving false interpretations of their religions scriptures they take the name of ALLAH / GOD in vain and defy his command. When one kills, they have defied a COMMAND of GOD / ALLAH and no twisting of words written by man will change this.

It just makes sense to me that if one is truely religious and not just trying to show others that they are religious, they could not possibly believe this nonesense about killing for ALLAH / GOD.

It is really simple. The West, with history of capitalism, isolationism, slavery, territorialism, totalarianism, and racism and have no right to judge any other culture, UNTIL they right themselves. Blaming war on religion goes as far back as the point when someone decided to document stories about things that we humans did not understand at the time. Space, the Earth, animals, life and death. Since then it has become the backbone of many people who live today. Ultimately one could argue that neither Christian or Muslim can say that they understand their religion completely as it was set out to be. SO how can anyone justify war on religion?
Faith is good, it builds up your character, makes you a stronger person, however to believe something that someone said a long time ago, when things were different, when there was no police or laws, when discrimination was predominent, where violence was just accepted is WRONG.
One could argue about which religion is right, or better, but where does that get us to in the end? Nowhere. No one should influence you in what you believe in, and no one should try and force you to believe in anything else. Are you a sheep? Do you have to believe in something cause your parents does? or cause everyone you know does?
As far as i can see the Chrisitan and Muslim scriptures are fundamentally flawed, with parts that are just either not in time with the modern age or just plain rubbish. And yes they are actually rubbish, when the Chrisitans said that heaven was held up by mountains above the sky, they meant it LITERALLY!!! not metaphorically !!! otherwise they would've said so!!!

I am an Atheist, and i am not a hippy, but i do think people just are damn too short sighted to see that everyone wants to just get through life in peace and everyone wants to be happy. The literal meaning of Islam is peace; surrender of one’s will i.e. losing oneself for the sake of God and surrendering one’s own pleasure for the pleasure of God. Islam believes that each person is born pure. The Holy Quran tells us that God has given human beings a choice between good and evil and to seek God’s pleasure through faith, prayer and charity. Islam believes that God created mankind in His image and by imbuing the attributes of God on a human level mankind can attain His nearness. Islam’s main message is to worship God and to treat all God’s creation with kindness and compassion. Rights of parents in old age, orphans and the needy are clearly stated. Women’s rights were safeguarded 1,400 years ago when the rest of the world was in total darkness about emancipation. Islamic teachings encompass every imaginable situation and its rules and principles are truly universal and have stood the test of time.

In Islam virtue does not connote forsaking the bounties of nature that are lawful. On the contrary one is encouraged to lead a healthy, active life with the qualities of kindness, chastity, honesty, mercy, courage patience and politeness. In short, Islam has a perfect and complete code for the guidance of individuals and communities alike. As the entire message of Islam is derived from the Holy Quran and indeed the Sunnah and Hadith (the traditions and practices of the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings on him) it is immutable in the face of change in time and place. It may appear rigid to the casual eye, in actual fact it is most certainly an adaptable way of life regardless of human changes.

Islam teaches that the path to spiritual development is open to all. Any individual who searches the One Creator can seek nearness to God through sincere and earnest worship; it is central to establishing a relationship with the Almighty. This positive message for humanity fills

I don't understand how the focus on degrading Islamic beliefs vs saying things like let others believe what they want to believe is considered fair? I don’t understand how a so called “secular human being” has narrowed down a whole nation that has been around for centuries to a single idea of “being terrorists” when all she did is just clearly taken out some “quotes” that if u don’t understand them completely, u r being ignorant and misinformed?
