  • This happened in Utter Pradesh not in Pa...

    This happened in an Indian state called Utter Pradesh not in Parliament about 7-10years back. And this video is from wildest video which is shown on the network television. The people who compline videos from around the world can't even report it properly. Its really sad that wrong information leads to insulting a countries parliament and the biggest democracy in the world

  • This isn't Parliament ..

    First, this happened in the Legislature of one of the States in the country and not at the Parliament in Delhi.

    Second, it is rich getting lectured on civilization from the West. Seriously.

    Watch the video for what it is. Don't make it a source for your socio-political commentary. We see people from the West making complete arses of themselves here at metacafe. We still give the rest of you the benefit of the doubt don't we?

Their battles are with words or by using the media. I still think that India's politics have a long way to go. It probably will get there soon enough.

    Pl correct ur info. The scene is from Assembly of a province call U.P. capital Lucknow. The speaker was kesri nath tripathi. The occation was no confidence motion against the government, not the issue of civil rights as in ur commentry.

    We Indians are emotional people and sometimes this kind of shit takes over.
    But we should concentrate on the fact that their are 700 million people living below the poverty line in India. We are far from becoming a super-power. Stop getting influenced by Zee-tv :)
    But we should be glad that we do-not have a leader called Bush who has already killed millions of innocents. : )..... .......:(

      Damn Zee-Tv with their false hopes. I knew there was something fishy! But seriously I think that India and China will play a very dominant role in the global economy (Maybe even be the greatest investors in the W.T.O) within like 15 - 20 years. China before India only because they are communist and have greater control on their politics and thus their economy. But you're right about the fact there are a lot of people below the poverty line and India has a long way to go. But India also has an enormous middle class (no not just engineering students from I.I.T), which creates a market which is almost impossible to become saturated with anything.

      Damn Z-Tv, Sony Tv, Sahara News... and any others I may have missed for filling our heads with lies?

      And you're just looking for trouble with that Bush comment. :-) Cheers!

    The US constitution allows only two political parties and communism is banned.
    In India there is no limitation to the number of political parties there may be...so each group having its own ideas and agenda may form a party if it has support of a significant portion of the public.
    There is communism in some states in India. In fact the government at the centre is running with there support. So, the Indian constitution allows democracy in the truest sense...there is no limitation to freedom.
    But just like anything else this has its flip side...an example of which is seen in the clip....too many people with too many different views leading to infighting. Tempers flare and on very extraordinary occasions such as these fist fights break out...which is a shame as the politicians involved are representatioves of the people and such behaviour from them is unacceptable.
    India is a large and populous country...It has the second hishest population in the world today. There are more than 30 languages which are spoken in different places in the country...and majority of the population is Hindu...but it has more Muslims than in entire Pakistan...there are other religions like Christanity, Buddhism, Sikhism and also a Jewish community in the country! So you can understand that with all this diversity it is bound to happen that disageements occur which lead to fights...though it shouldnt at all. But India is getting there.

      There is nothing, I repeat nothing in the US Constitution that lays out the number of political parties in fact, Nick political parties aren't even mentioned in the US Constitution. One more thing "communism" is not banned in the US, ignored but no banned.

      Yeah you're comment is true. I mean India has around 150 million muslims where not one of them have reported ties to Al Qaeda. Whereas here in Canada we have muslims only in the thousands and there are so many of them with ties to Al Quaeda. I find that amazing. That's why we were labelled as a terrorist haven.

      Canada also has communist parties. At one point we had 3! You might ask why, well so do we. Not that I support them! lol.
