Martin Drayton has successfully set a new World skateboarding record. Witnessed by both the Guinness World Record Organisation, Chinese Media Agencies and his sponsors, Gecko Decks, Martin successfully completed a flat slalom course in record time (just over 12 seconds), in wet conditions.

  • Record smashed!

    On the 25th July I got to try to break the record, this time in the dry and on a deck of my own design. My 1st run was 11.00secs and every one after that was lower...10.42, 10.32, 10.19 and finally....10.16 secs! I'm pretty happy with that and I finally got to register a time that i'm proud of.
    Now the training starts to get it sub 10 seconds!

  • Improvement...

    Prior to the record attempt I had done it in the dry in 11.22sec. Well, last week I had 3 runs of 50 cones, the 1st time since the record attempt. This time on my new board...I recorded 10.81sec off a short run up, just before the rain stopped any further runs. Now I REALLY want to try it in ideal conditions!
