I dont really understand what people are talking about "amateurish" This looks totally profesh!

I dont know what student projects you been looking at but this certainly doesn't look like one.

As for the quick cuts - that is pretty much the standard even for non action movies. Pick any movie and count the seconds before the camera switches to another angle - not many more than 5 seconds and almost never is a shot longer than 10 seconds.

Yeah if you read the actualle movie page, it talks about the movie being about Halo 1 and i am pretty sure Brutes were not used in the first game.

Also funny how the sinper get totally pwnd by the Brute :P

this movie has a good storyline.

"Fox has purchased filming rights and says the project will go on." After they crash-land on an artificial ring-world called "Halo", a navy captain, his surviving marines, and a genetically and surgically-enhanced supersoldier called "Master Chief" must find out what the Covenant, the genocidal alien race they are at war with, are looking for on the ring. there are three things the lighting is bad looks you just went outside and started tapeing,the background you can see mountains like you would see in your own backyard,and it like like a youtube video like i was made with a normal camera not like the cameras they use for movies,tv show,and the news etc..

yeah, i have a comment about hellshnchman and his comment. he says we should get out of our parents basement and take a shower and get a job because evidently he believes that all of us are nerds because we play video games? well first of all, i work for the government. hard to believe? if he wants proof i earn a living, i'll be glad to show him my work id. i work at the state capitol in charleston, wv, i take care of the division of labor and the department of education. i'm a custodian, not a NERD who likes halo. yeah sure i understand it is a game but how would hellshnchman like to stand on his feet for 8 hours straight taking care of over 60 offices? cleaning offices, vacuuming, dusting? you name it, i do it. so after 8 hours what do i do? sit in the corner and waste my time away? hey hellshncman? do you work? or do you sit at home spunging off your parents? i'm 49 years old and earn a living. i pay rent, pay bills, and survive. does that make me a dork? i doubt it.

hey this is a promo for the game halo 3 the reasons are:
1.first i saw it in a game shop and why would they show a movie trailer
2. the movies about the first game, so why would there be brutes in the game they came in the second game halo 3

Master Chief is the guy that took off his helmet at 0:52. That shouldn't happen in the movie!

so long as the movie uses the same voice actor for master chief then i cant see there being a problem.

Huge Halo fan... but kinda let down if they plan on using the soldiers pov style camera shooting, looks very amateurish, very "Starship Troopers" cheesy. I hope Jackson does better in the actual movie. I'm just not a big fan of using footage from every camera in the shoot. Seems like they bounced every other second to a different camera before the viewer could gain any idea of what was happening in the scene.
