    i guess you file the key as you move along, lowering each pin as the key pushes in. but what if any pin is shorter than the first pin? you can't put the metal back.

      you gotta lower each pin individually. u dont work front to back. you just gotta eye ball it, shaveing away parts of the key to where they match up in the keyhole. dont lower the pin too much...else u gotta start over
