the copper wire or zinc will need to be replaced like any other battery :)
By SirNicolaus 1193532736this is right, also the energy that went into processing these metals is MUCH higher than what it produces.
I will still try this experiment. I will see if I can perform electrolosys on water with the 50 or so mA that will result from about 12 batteries.
using clorox bleach(liquid) and it has a VERRY high voltage and ampage i believe, i did test it but my equipment was not working correctly afterward so i dont know if it worked at the time. however i do know that the bleach ate away at the copper and the aluminum verry fast. higher voltage, more replacement. i dont know if you can leave the bleach in and jsut replace the metals. however i did use the watter to power flashlight. 2 AA batteries replaced with.. unfortunate number but i got the metals for free.. 10 water batteries. it lasts for a while also. patatos also work, and vinagar works too. aluminum and copper in a patato.
By ja21o0 1246931020I think this is great, if you can produce voltage from water and the stuff that will most likely end up in a land fill anyway, then your actually helping cut down on the overall carbon foot print of the planet. Everybody should do this.
By ScalarRob 1233564418i wonder if you can send me pics of working prototypes of this "principle"
By Beehard44 1224405078With one glass I used Copper wire on Red.
Alluminum foil on Black and got 0.534 V
Then I replaced the foil with a key from my removable hard drive (Might be Alluminum)
and got a reading of 0.671
Then I tried the peice you remove on the computer back when inserting a new card and got 0.856 !!!
I will keep testing to get the highest Voltage.
Thank you sir for posting this video
Please, feel free to post your results. Try to power other devices with more batteries or try to add salt or vinegar

Now how many glasses do I need to power my house.
Lets see, Average 1v per 2 glasses...
240 glasses of water, I need to go buy several cases of glasses. just kidding...
Although it is an intersting thought.
water doesn't have electrical current. Either you are promoting electron transport via a chemical reaction between the two metals you have chosen or the multimeter itself is supplying the energy. Either way this is not free; it is physically impossible to break the rules of thermodynamics.
By merlin0019 1194768276..."promoting electron transport via a chemical reaction"...
Isn't that the definition of a battery?
thats exactly what a battery is.
but where did the metals come from?
they are purified using energy intense reactions ... so unless u can find these hightly purified metals laying around good luck liberating any energy from them. idk all im saying is that this isn't a trick or anything new. "free energy" mmm not so much
try that too .. its far beter than using salt etc ..
