According to Edmunds.com, the sales of manual transmission cars are up – way up – double the amount from 5 years ago. In fact, they were up 6.5 percent in just the first quarter of 2012.
Factors such as fuel economy and price have made stick-shifts more attractive, and new hill start assist technology (that prevents you from rolling on a hill while you're releasing the clutch), relieves drivers' fears of backing into someone!
